Jalen is 10 Months Old!

OK, Jalen is already 10 months and 2 weeks! Last weekend was Easter weekend. My parents came over to visit from Vancouver. We didn't have time to go take pictures with an Easter Bunny but we think Jalen probably would have freaked out at a giant white bunny. Jalen has 8 teeth now! Four on top and four on the bottom. He still loves to experiment with food. He tries to chew with his front teeth. It's quite funny to watch.



Here's Jalen getting busted playing with things that he's not supposed to have. Jalen understands what "no" means but he doesn't always obey. I'll give him a few chances to listen but if he still doesn't, I send him straight to baby jail, i.e. the playpen.

Jalen loves to play on the bed. He likes to climb on top of the pillows and roll around. Jalen is not as chubby as he used to be ever since he started crawling. I miss my fat baby boy.

This Little Piggy goes to Market

Last Sunday, we took Jalen to Pike Place Market. We walked around, ate and shopped for groceries. Jalen loved being outdoors and looking around. He was happy and thoroughly entertained. It was a really nice way for us to spend time as a family.

Why Buy Expensive Toys?

We tried this with Jalen after we saw baby Ethan ROTFL at tearing paper. Apparently, this is a universal phenomenon with babies. Too cute!

Jalen Tries a Beer

We weren't sure how Jalen was going to react to his first beer. Apparently, he liked it! Maybe that's because he had a few beers when he was in his mommy's belly.

Jalen's First Swing Ride

Jalen has always been a dare devil like his daddy. He loves being tossed in the air or falling down on the bed. Last Thursday, Jalen went on his first swing ride at Rick's sister Betsy's house. It was a nice day and Jalen loved the swing.

You can also see that his two front teeth are coming in. In fact, he has a total of 6 teeth now. This is also his squinty smile. He thinks squinting his eyes and wrinkling his nose is smiling so he does it whenever he wants to smile at someone.

Baby Olympics

Last Sunday we took Jalen to Tyler's house to let the boys play together.

We put a piece of baby puff cereal on the floor to see who could get it first. Round 1 goes to Jalen!

Round 2 goes to Jalen also! 2-0!
